Harry Callahan

Harry Callahan (the photographer not the star of the Dirty Harry films) was considered one of the innovators of American photography. He spent his days walking around cities in the US taking photos in the morning, and developing them in the afternoon. He very famously stood by the maxim that if you were taking half a dozen good images a year, you were on the right track. One subject in particular he enjoyed photographing, was his wife, Eleanor (below).

This particular shot, taken in 1984 of his wife is regarded as one of his most iconic. My effort is below.

Not much is known about Callahan's photos in terms of when and where, but I know I took this shot of Lucy (who I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of) on the living room floor late on a Wednesday night. She'd had a bath.

Christ, that was easy

Hello world. This is my blog. I take photos from the world's finest snappers and attempt to re-create them in the modern day. I have no idea if this is going to be any good.

I'll guess we'll see.
